About Golden Key
We're glad you asked. We are an official Rutgers University Honor Society, which inducts juniors and seniors from every campus and every academic major. Rutgers Golden Key chapter was established 11/22/1987. Beyond induction, our members participate in social, service, leadership, and enrichment activities. Examples of our activities include: Visiting children at St. Peter's Hospital and coloring or painting pumpkins with them and participating in the Adopt-A-Highway Program. The officers also get the chance to attend one conference with other Golden Key Chapters in Eastern region and another conference which is international and can be hosted any where in the U.S. This year, our International Conference was held in Atlanta, GA!
International Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia sponsors scholarships in areas such as: research projects, performing arts, and written works. To be eligible for such scholarships, one must send an application and other materials (depending on the scholarship area) to International Headquarters. To find out more, go to:
There are NUMEROUS employers who actively seek Golden Key IHS members for internships and employment opportunities. To see a list of these companies, visit our office or go to any of the Career Services buildings on campus which will have a copy for you to explore. We only have a limited number of these books so it won't be possible to take one home with you, but you can definitely look through it as many times as you like!
